Speed limiter, cruise control and overspeed warning

Cruise control
In cruise control position, the driver can choose a cruising speed that the car will maintain constant, and thus drive comfortably without touching the accelerator. The selected cruising speed is displayed on the instrument panel. If need be, he can also accelerate, with the car automatically regaining its cruising speed when the foot is removed.
If the brake or clutch pedal is pressed, the system is automatically deactivated.

This function is extremely practical on the motorway and on motorway type expressways when the traffic is fluid, and allows precise compliance with speed limits.

Speed limiter
In speed limiter position, the driver can choose himself the maximum speed that he does not wish to exceed. Using the same set point adjustment buttons as those for cruise control, he can reduce or increase the speed limit.
If the driver tries to go above the speed programmed by him, the accelerator pedal becomes inactive.

Where necessary, however, a strong press can override a hard spot and enable him to exceed the set speed limit.
The speed limiter function is automatically reactivated after any deceleration or braking bringing the vehicle back below the limit initially selected.
The advantage of the speed limiter is that it can be used in all circumstances, on all types of infrastructure (motorway, highway but also in town driving), and irrespective of the traffic density.

Overspeed warning
This system is designed to trigger an audible and visual alarm on the central display when the vehicle exceeds the set point speed programmed by the driver. The system is actuated intentionally and can be disconnected at any time manually by actuating the control system.
